I walked into the house tonight and delivered the immortal question "did anybody have a good day at school?"

Response was not what I normally receive. Rhiannon hit me with a surprise left by giving me a blow by blow account of the life and times of Boudica (I have bowed to modern spelling, for I believe it to be a true fact...). This is awesome. She's seven and if there was one person in the whole of history that she's turning out like, it's her. Time will tell whether this is a good or a bad thing, but it's an awful lot more inspiring for both of us than Britney and Paris. Just as heartwarming is that whilst I was looking for a pic of said warrior, I found this by my most awesome buddy Lorenzo Sperlonga. I'd not seen this one from him before... I'll dig out the feature we did together and hook it up here before I go...

Whilst this will put me in severe danger of being one of those people who goes on about how everything used to be great "back then", this clip is one of my favourites of all time. This is the sort of thing that people should be creating around the world instead of cocking about with RockBand and GuitarHero:
